What is Botox used for?
Botox has multiple uses but here we use Botox for facial wrinkles. It can help to temporarily improve, reduce or eliminate the look of moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles. It is also used to prevent fine lines and wrinkles from ever forming.
What should I expect in my treatment?
A highly trained and experienced medical professional will consult with you on your concerns and assess your muscle movement. Your injections take approximately 10-15 minutes.
After your treatment you can expect to see results within the first week, full results after 2 weeks.
What areas can Botox treat?
Botox can be done in most muscles of the face that cause fine lines to form. It is commonly done for crows feet, forehead lines and scowl lines. However, it can be done in other areas, like the lip lines or chin. It is important to consult with your medical provider to discuss the best treatment options for you and your concerns.
How often do you treat Botox?
For optimal results, it is recommended to maintain injections every 3-4 months.
Does Botox hurt?
It should not be painful but it depends on the sensitivity of the patient. Some patients feel nothing while others may find it uncomfortable. Botox is injected with very thin needles and is done quickly to alleviate the possibility of pain.
Is there any down time from Botox?
There is no down time besides the slight chance of bruising which may or may not occur. It is recommended to stay upright for 3-4 hours after injections. For example: do not lay flat, bend down to try on shoes, etc.
Can I get other aesthetic treatments the same day as Botox?
This completely depends on the type of service. Facials can be done the same day, if done before Botox injections or 3-4 hours post Botox injections.
Please consult with your medical provider or medical aesthetician on which services you would like to combine and they will advise you on the proper time frames.
How much does Botox cost?
It is priced per unit. The amount of units is decided by your provider depending on the strength of the muscle being treated. Some patients may need more or less than another to achieve a similar result.
Am I a candidate for Botox?
Most people are candidates for Botox. However, we recommend you book a consultation with our medical provider to see if this is a good treatment option for you.
